About this Cook
I am a proud Military wife and mother or four. I am the epitomy of a jack of all trades. I have been a stay at home wife and mom for 8 years now. I honestly enjoy my job. Home decor, Gardening, Window art, cooking, and being able to discover something new Im good at is great! I hope to inspire other women.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are anything that involves the oven. I have a extreme passion for baking making desserts look beautiful. When I get down and dirty I enjoy marinading meats and coming up with awesome meals for my family to enjoy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well we havent established any cool traditions yet except Having everyone be a taster. I cook, they eat. Everyones happy:)
My cooking triumphs
My highlight of cooking or what inspired me is coming up with the most awesome chocolate chip cookie recipe anyone has ever tried. Everyone who eats one is in pure heaven. I have been offered money for those. Oh and my husband had co-workers say I should open up my own taco truck for my taco recipe.
My cooking tragedies
One of my cooking tragedies is the first time I ever attempted making bread the old fashioned way. Not only have I killed yeast but when I did get it to rise the end result could have broke a tooth if u bit into it.:)

Pumpkin Fudge
I've had pumpkin fudge before and although the flavor in this is great it needs a little help on the texture. Next time I will add more wh/ch chips as others recommended. Great for the season. Thanks for sharing!

Homemade Fresh Pumpkin Pie
I was really looking for a pie that was outstanding and this just isnt it. Although the flavor was really good, I used double spice 1/4 cp more sugar and a bit more pumpkin than called for I cant imagine how it would have came out had I not. The pumpkin was chunky and I know I steamed it long enough because it was very tender to mash. The pie was not at all firm enough for my liking even after baking slightly longer. I did'nt even have enough filling for the second pie. I thought it was just OK. I am really shocked to say this but I prefer my canned recipe way better. I wont try this again but I will continue to try and find a recipe that wow's my family. I gave it 3 stars for a fairly put together homemade version.

Caramel Popcorn
I just finished making this and Im kinda disappointed. I followed the recipe except only left it in the oven for 45 mins because I tasted one and it sort of had a little burnt taste. I wish I would have read the review that said use GOLDEN brown sugar instead of dark.Set oven @200 degrees instead. I also used dark corn syrup. I can tell this is a absolute winner because even though its a little burnt Its still good. Im gonna try again using the suggestions. Recipe was easy and caramel coating was perfectly even. Darn!
