Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
WOW !!!! I have found my new favorite cookie/bar/treat. I don't give 5 stars often, but this is definitely 5 *****'s !! I left out the chocolate chips and topped these little beauties with melted Hershey kisses. (I mixed a little Crisco in with the Hershey Kisses.)Thank you very much fro sharing this recipe. I will most definitely make these again. Merry Christmas :)

Bon Bon Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
These cookies aren't what I'd consider to be one of my favorites. The dough mixes quite dry and needs those couple teaspoons of water the author mentions. The dough has very little, to no flavor and I even added almond extract and vanilla. Very disappointing. They also cook a little doughy and I even increased baking time and drained the cherries well, then dried them on paper towels. Most likely I will not be making these again. Sorry.

Delicious Dog Treats

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
Great dog treat recipe. Easy to work with. I posted a photo, but it hasn't been approved yet. I cut the treats with Christmas cookie cutters. I think next ime I'll make them a little thicker and just bake them a little longer. I baked these 30 minutes. That was the perfect time. They are a gift for a friend's dogs. They're cute lil' treats. Thanks for posting the recipe and Merry Christmas!

Ravioli Dolci (Sweet Ravioli)

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
Very good tasting cookie. Kind of shortbread like. The dough is difficult to work with, but I found that by rolling it out between the wax paper and then putting it in the freezer, the squares were much easier to work with. I filled mine with blackberry preserves and dusted them with powdered sugar. Others I filed with the cream cheese filling from the bakery and then drizzled those finished squares with chocolate. Very pretty and will be enjoyed by all. I will say that you only get about half of the amount the recipe is supposed to yield and I didn't make them huge. I'll make these again, only this time I know what I'm getting into. Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing this recipe.

Thick Cut-Outs

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
Really very good, but still not the cut-out cookie I'm looking for. I found out as the process went on that rolling the dough thicker, makes for a softer and better cookie. I cooked them 8 minutes as many reviews recommended. I also added almond extract to the mixture prior to adding the flour. For icing I made a family favorite of butter Crisco shortening, confectioners sugar, vanilla and almond extract. I think I will make these again and "tweak" them a bit to see if I can get them just a little softer. If I can, then these will be the perfect cut out cookies in my opinion. By the way, the dough is really easy to work with! I really appreciated that. I'm sure my family and friends will enjoy these cookies over the holiday. Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing your recipe.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
I'm giving a 5* rating based on chocolate cake mixed with chocolate frosting and then dipped in chocolate/peanut butter. OHHHH MYYYYY GOSSSHHH !!! They are delicious. Very time consuming, but so good. I also tried strawberry cake mixed with cream cheese frosting and then dipped in white chocolate and some dipped in semi sweet Ghiradelli chocolate. Those dipped in the Ghiradelli chocolate taste like chocolate covered strawberries. (A little too much strawberry taste for me, but that's just my taste.) Make sure to freeze the cake mixture first and the dough will be easy to work with. Thank you very much fro sharing this recipe. I'll make them again, I'm sure. Merry Christmas!

Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
Very Good! My family really enjoyed it. Once it chills in the refrigerator, it gets much thicker. It kind of reminds me of a cheesecake dessert, rather than cheesecake itself. I would think you could add more cream cheese and extra eggs if you wanted more of a cheesecake texture. On the other hand, I would think adding more pumpkin would give it more of a pie texture. This recipe could be changed to fit whatever taste you are looking for. *** I will make this recipe again and may try some modifications to change the texture in different ways. Thank you for sharing.

Mammaw's Waffles

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
This is a pretty good little waffle recipe. I was happy with the consistency and taste and only made a couple modifications. I added 2T. of sugar and a 1t. vanilla. Our family likes a little sweeter waffle. Preparation was fairly simple. I would recommend and share this recipe.

Very good taste. Simple to prepare. They are a little heavy but that fills the tummy up faster! My kids loved them! Thanks for sharing.

Norwegian Waffles

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2006
I tried this recipe and my boyfriend really enjoyed eating the waffles! I added just a bit more flour so the batter wasn't quite so thin. I prefer a little heavier of a waffle but these smelled and tasted great. This was a very easy recipe to follow and make and the outcome was tasty. I will be making them again.
