Herb Roasted Pork Loin and Potatoes
I prepared this for the first time over the weekend, using a boston butt pork roast. In addition to the potatoes, I added carrots and onions. Also, I added Tony's cajun seasoning to the spices for the rub. It was delicious! And oh, so easy!

Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew
Yum! DH loved this, so did DD12. I cooked this on the stove instead of a crockpot. I substituted venison for the beef stew meat. I used a little more flour, added another cup of liquid and a beef bouillon cube and a little more wine . . . Let it simmer for two hours. Didn't need the cornstarch at the end--it was plenty thick enough.

Slow Cooker Apple-Scented Venison Roast
Let me preface my comments by saying that my husband is a HUGE deer hunter and our family LOVES venison--fried, grilled, as sausage . . . you name it. I gave this recipe 2 stars because it is edible. However, that's the kindest thing I coan say about it. Despite the fact that the onion and apple and venison made a lot of juices, the meat was most definitely NOT falling of the bone tender--nor did it have any flavor, notwithstanding the fact that I used an additional apple, Cajun seasoning and balsamic vinegar.
