Onion Rings

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2007
This was my first successful attempt at onion rings. It turned out pretty good too! Also, they LOOKED amazing! (Hey! Presentation plays a part also!) I agree that these were a little greasy (but we are talking about onion rings) and a little bland. I will try this recipe again, but I will add some salt, paprika and cayenne to give the taste a little kick! P.S. My wife said those were the best onion rings she had ever tasted!

Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2007
This seems to be a very popular recipe. I usually make terrific fudge, but this was the first time I made it with cocoa. It scorched on the bottom of the pot. No matter what I did, it always scorched. I gave up after my third try. I think I will stick with unsweetened chocolate instead.

Maple Fudge

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2007
I followed another reviewer's suggestion and added a cup of white sugar (I skipped on the flour. Flour in fudge???). Anyways, it came out spectacular! I couldn't have been more pleased! I am so glad I took a chance with this recipe (with the missing ingredient: an added cup of sugar, of course!).

Cathy's Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2007
I have some experience making fudge and I have a candy thermometer. I followed the directions exactly except for one small change. I used half & half instead of milk. Overall, I thought this was a great recipe! A REAL recipe for fudge without all the marshmallow creme junk. A wonderful peanut butter taste! I was impressed! The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was the fudge seemed a bit too moist and soft for my taste. It was still firm, but I think it could be improved. I will try this recipe again, but I will probably wait at least 10 minutes before adding the peanut butter and vanilla. Highly recommended! I will be trying

Old Fashioned Fudge

I don't know what I did wrong. I've made fudge before and I tried this recipe twice (with a thermometer) and both times the fudge scorched on the bottom of my pot.

I LOVE mangoes & this is now my favorite mango smoothie recipe! Not too much banana & great with frozen mangos! I cut the recipe in half to make a nice tall glass. Very nice!

Buffalo Chicken Wings III

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
A fairly delicious recipe! I followed the recipe pretty much except I baked the wings for 45 minutes instead of 30 and I used Trader Joe's Jalapeno hot sauce (my personal favorite!) instead of Frank's Red Hot. It had good bite and the wings cooked well which was a bit of a surprise (I usually deep-fry my wings). A good way to keep a little fat out, but still making it moist and tender. The sauce was terrific. I never would have thought of mixing spicy tomato sauce with butter and hot sauce. It wasn't exactly what I wanted, but I may try this again. I think, though, I will bread the wings with some flour and spices next time. There's something about the taste of plain wings that are cooked or fried without any spices, marinade or sauce that I don't like. That is the only fault of this recipe. Otherwise, I would have given it 4 stars. If you're not as picky about that as I am than give it a try!
