Aunt Cora's World's Greatest Cookies

GREAT recipe! This recipe made picture perfect cookies, and you can easily taste both the peanut butter and chocolate in every bite. Crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside -- awesome. I took others suggestion and added 1tsp vanilla and 1/2tsp salt; I also used real butter in place of margarine.

Spiced Quinoa

I was looking for a dish that used quinoa, and this satisfies my desire for both high fiber and high protein. This tasty dish relies on the spices added for the great flavor, so it's low in calories. I ended up using pinto beans instead, and it still tasted great. It didn't take me anywhere near 45 minutes either. Great recipe.

Festive Fudge

Followed this recipe exactly with great results and many compliments! Making this recipe in an 8x8 pan makes for some THICK fudge; my 2 quart casserole dish was reasonable though. GREAT recipe!

Fresh Pear Pie

Great recipe! I think I added more lemon juice and zest than they suggested, but otherwise, I followed the recipe and had no problems or complaints. I used 4 kinds of pears and sliced them VERY thinly -- it helped fit more pears in I think.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

I thought this was a good recipe for pie crust. It came out nicely and tasted fine, but I'm not sure this is the easiest dough to work with: it kept breaking and tearing regardless how much flour I put down first. Listening to others' suggestions, I kept the dough and materials cold every step of the way. For me, this recipe made two bottom crusts and one one top.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Very good dish! This is definitely a sweet and not a savory dish. I followed others' suggestions and cut the sugar in half, and I doubled the topping. I also added a little ground ginger for kicks and giggles. This dish went over very well with family and friends.

Mini Pumpkin Butterscotch Muffins

Great combination of flavor! One note after making two very different batches: packing down the brown sugar results in shorter, more dense muffins, while not packing it down (less brown sugar) gives fluffier, cake-like muffins. Great recipe as is.

Baklava
