Classic Peanut Butter Cookies
These tasted really good--even my picky husband who always raves about his mom's cookies loved them. Oh--you DON'T need to flatten them before baking--I did and they spread too much.

Glazed Mint Brownies
For a prettier bar for Christmas I drizzled and swirled about half of the chocolate topping from a fork over the top, and then sprinkled mini chocolate chips over that. My family was very impressed with the look and devoured them immediately, saying they tasted just like an Andes mint in brownie form (even better)!!

Fleischkuechle (Flesh-Keek-Luh)
The picture shown is not how fleishkuechle is traditionally made around here (I'm from ND as well). The recipe fails to include the fact that the balls of meat should be pressed flat (think oval-shaped hamburger patties) before the dough is wrapped around them. For the health-conscious, even though it's not "traditional," the fleishkuechle may also be baked. Around here we would NEVER detract from the flavor by adding cheese, but we do love to dip them in ketchup!!
