I was trying to use up some things, so didn't follow recipe exactly, but kept most of the measurements proportionate to original. I ended up playing around with it a bit until it was to my liking -- a splash of malt vinegar, a pinch of cilantro and oregano, a teaspoon or two of chinese mustard -- then crunched up tortilla chips for the topping. It was delicious! Hearty! Wonderful! Thanks for the ideas!

I was very happy with this recipe! After doubting the maple syrup and reading negative comments about it, I changed the 1/4 cup maple syrup to 1/4 cup smashed banana. I cooked it for about 50 minutes, let it cool, drizzled lemon juice all over, and let it sit overnight, then topped with toasted coconut. It made a dreamy, creamy, banana/coconut cream combo. Divine! Not a cheesecake in the least, but I loved it.

This worked out really well! I can't give 5 stars because I tweaked the recipe so I don't know what the original is like *exactly* but what I made was fine. Instead of the egg replacer I just used flax, water and a little oil, I used 3 bananas, some walnuts instead of blueberries, and added another 1/2 tsp baking powder along with the last scrape of applesauce I had leftover. I turned it into a loaf instead of muffins, but I was using a new silicone loaf pan (which I don't think I like) and it wasn't actually as done as I thought it was. But still tastes great! This is exactly what I wanted to find, I have been craving some banana-y bread.

This didn't really do it for me. They are like 2nd rate brownies, and as a brownie lover, this was a big disappointment. They do have a chocolatey *taste* but it is mostly masked by a vegetable oil taste. Also, I only have whole wheat flour and that may have made it taste a little "whole-grainier" than what I would like in a dessert. Still, I put them together in under 5 minutes and they're vegan! so that's a bonus.

This was a wonderful recipe! I have been looking for a decent veggie pie recipe and this fits the bill. I made it as soon as I looked it up. I didn't follow exact recipe, but it gave me the base that I needed to start and I am quite pleased with what I am eating right now.

I used canned chicken and subbed onions for celery (I dislike celery). This was really yummy! (I do love curry.) This seemed to taste more like curry than the hot curry dishes I make. I loved it. Thanks.

This was pretty good before I decided to make a tzaziki (spelling?) version by adding some leftover cucumber slices and a little sour cream and yogurt. I don't know how often I would make, as it was a pain to puree it in my food processor. Also, I couldn't imagine eating ONLY this spread in a sandwich, and I'm not a fan of veggie sandwiches, so I stuck with crackers, and it wasn't very filling. More like a snack.

This was great! Super quick and easy, comes together in a flash, and not long to "set." Still, I wouldn't call this fudge, per se, but a close equivalent. Something more along the lines of a candybar. It's just chocolatey goodness. I have made it thrice so far. Once a combo of milk choc. and butterscotch chips (my brother LOVED it), the next time reg. choc. chips with nuts, that was pretty good, and finally, just peanut butter chips, which was not very good at all. This was very disappointing, because pb fudge is my absolute fave. I would say this works better with chocolate. I would also say it's SO not healthy! But worth it, somehow. :)

5 stars for easy prep and super speediness, but ultimately only 3 or so for taste. Wasn't too bad though. Needed modifications, but I would probably make again with changes because it got on the table so fast! That's a plus!

Hey, this was delicious, thanks! Even with the rough start (as I was preparing I found out I had too much creamed corn and not enough cornbread) this turned out great. I don't know why people want more sugar in this, it was perfect. I did use cheddar instead of swiss though as I dislike the bitterness of Swiss cheese, so maybe that's what others problem was. I thought it was great. A new comfort food -- just what I needed last night.

This was alright. Boyfriend said he liked it but never touched the leftovers. I didn't think it was bad, but didn't really care for it either. Looked pretty bad, tasted okay.

Umm. This was okay. I don't know what "Italian Beef" is supposed to taste like but this is not what I was expecting. Not really much flavor, and I used 2 packets of seasoning and everything else as author had written. Only a 3 pound roast too. I was expecting it to taste more like Italian dressing, but it tasted more like slightly seasoned beef. Cooked overnight for 12 hours and was very, very, very tender by the time I shredded it (about 10 hours in). I have had this in my list for a long time, really wanting to make it, but now that I have, I wouldn't make again.

This was SOOO tender. Definitely a pot roast flavor. I was impressed.

Okay, firstly, this mostly just tasted like stewed tomatoes. That being said, it was pretty good. (I like stewed tomatoes, but I'm not their biggest fan.) It was definitely tender! I am used to a London Broil on the grill, but as it's the middle of winter I looked for a new recipe. Considering London Broil is on sale, this is not a bad way to go. Would make again, and modify seasonings to my mood, but all in all, not a bad way to go.

I like it! My bf wanted to make some toast and we all agreed a steak would be nice alongside, but I really enjoyed this! Thank you! I did have to add a dollop of butter to go with those spuds, but other than that (and the prepackaged potatos) this was a healthy and easy dish that I will make again!

Oh, wow, this was really good! I have a hard time liking some of the things I make, nothing seems quite right or tastes quite good enough, but this was delicious! Okay, my tongue is on fire, but that's because I took some suggestions and added part of a can of stewed tomatoes (that I diced). They were "Mexican flavor" which is what I had that I thought would go w/it, since it included cumin. It also included jalapenos! Still, muy yummy! I used evaporated milk since I had a partial can in the fridge.. More garlic than called for (personal preference) and little more curry and garam masala. This was so good, thank you thank you!! I think I'm the only one in my family that will eat it (no one else cares for chickpeas) but if I can stop eating now, I will have some more for lunch tomorrow!

This was so-so. I loved the sauce as I was making it, but it didn't seem enough to cover chicken (I reserved maybe an 1/8th cup to glaze) After I had baked it, I poured "drippings" in saucepan with some roux and made a thicker sauce for them, served with rice. Had an Asian taste, different, not bad, but not my favorite. Thanks anyway!

OMG, these were the best ever!! Followed advice of some others and boiled garlic cloves with potatos. Cut the cream cheese in half. Also cut the sour cream down by 1/3. After putting in casserole dish, poked with fork everywhere and drizzled 1/2 and 1/2 over the top, sprinkled with cheddar, fresh grated parmesan and green onions and it was sooo GOOD!! My dad commented on the "beatiful dish" when it came out of the oven on Thanksgiving. I had too much for the casserole, and even the "plain" potatoes were yummy. Thanks so much!

Perhaps if I had followed the directions more exactly I would have wound up with the "super soup" that everyone else is raving about. Unfortunately, I wanted to make a big pot and used over 2 qts of water and my huge leftover turkey. Added 3 cans chicken broth to get some flavor. Then my mistake.. I hate celery, so I diced it in my food processor. That was alright, but I also diced my carrots and onions in there. End result (after 3 cans cream of chicken / 1 can cream of celery/ half pound of velveeta / half lb cheddar /some parmesan and romano and mounds of seasoning) was basically a slightly cheesy, creamy broth with mini chunks of potato and a few veggies. (Oh yeah, I ended up using 1 lb mixed frozen and 1 lb green beans.) I doubt I'll do this again, I prefer my usual, entirely homemade (i.e. no cans of soup and processed cheese!) turkey, lentil, and barley soup, but if I did, I promise to follow the recipe!!
