Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I added more celery, onions since I really like the added flavor. I also decided to add garlic powder and dill weed and was quite pleased with the result. I didn't have any bouillon granules, so I used two bouillon cubes and that did the trick.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Like many others, I added onions, celery, and carrots. I sauteed those for several minutes before adding the flour to make the roux. I used half & half instead of heavy cream to save a few calories. I also subbed some of the water with 1% milk.

African Chicken Stew

Added carrots and celery. I was too lazy to deal with cutting up a whole chicken, so I used chicken breasts instead. I also used chicken broth instead of water.

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Very good. I found that I needed a little more umph to the chicken/veggie mixture so I added some additional seasonings. I will probably also add some additional seasonings to the biscuit mixture as well next time.

Creamy Smoked Salmon Pasta

I made a few minor adjustments ... used fresh garlic instead of garlic powder, added salt/pepper and a little Italian seasoning. I don't like mushrooms, so I left those out. I only had enough sauce for about 10 oz of pasta ... perhaps it was just something I did. Very good - will be making this again.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Delicious. I added a couple of additional items, but left the main recipe as is. I added green bell peppers and pineapple chunks, as I enjoy those flavors along with Teriyaki. As others suggested, I doubled the recipe with the exception of the sugar. I probably only used about 2/3 of a cup. I also put the chicken (sliced chicken breasts), bell peppers, pineapples and all of the sauce in a foil lined glass dish to cook. The chicken stays moist and soaks up all the flavor.

Jambalaya

Perfect blend flavors. Like many others, I used olive oil instead of peanut oil. I couldn't find a 16 oz can of crushed Italian tomatoes, so I used diced. I was too lazy to find file powder, so I left that out. Turned out perfect.

Tiramisu Cheesecake

I had to make some adjustments due to lack of coffee liqueur in the house. Based on the suggestion of others, I added some amaretto to the crust as well as the cheesecake itself. I threw in a package of Starbucks Via to provide the coffee flavor and it was quite good. Baked for 45 mins and cooled as directed. I got a crack in it, but that doesn't affect the flavor so I really don't care.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

I personally prefer to brown beef before it goes into the slow cooker, so I did that for this recipe as well. I don't like mushrooms, so I used cream of chicken soup. I also dissolved a cube of beef bouillon in the water. I took one item from another recipe of mine, so I cut a few slits in the roast & stuffed garlic cloves in. Carrots & onions were also added into.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

I knew when I decided to make this that I would adjust the recipe. It is a great idea, but I can't imagine it would have lots of "taco" flavor as written. I added a package of taco seasoning mix, a can of diced green chiles, and half an onion to my ground beef mixture (along with the cream cheese). Instead of just using just taco sauce on the top, I mixed with with a can of diced tomatoes with green chiles. The end result was quite tasty.
