About this Cook
I've been in the restaurant and catering business for almost twenty years, from waiter and bartender to GM. Im Italian so I tend to cook a loot of pasta and sauces. I learned cooking from working with so many professional chefs over the years in addition to my mom.
My favorite things to cook
Shrimp fried rice, udon noodle soup, beef stir fry with oyster sauce, anything pasta, cakes, cookies, breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Italian for the most part, but I also grew up with Greek and Mexican from my uncle's families.
My cooking triumphs
coq au vin, beuof bourginon, really lush fried rices.
My cooking tragedies
recipes with a lot of prep work and hundreds of ingredients. I like to keep it simple and delicious.

Russian Rocks I
These cookies and so delicious that even people who don't like fruit cakes, pannecote etc, still love those Russ. Rocks! After the cookie cool completely I brush them lightly with brandy before storing in a tight container. These have a good long shelf life, but they never last that long at my home. Thanks for the memories!!

Peach Cobbler IV
I really like a cake like cobbler, it reminds me of the ones I get on the southside of Chicago from good Soul places.
