I am a wife and mother of 3. I live for my family. I want my home to be a place of peace and comfort for all my family and friends. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to bake, especially pies. I have found the best recipe on here for the ULTIMATE pie crust. I love cooking for Thanksgiving; it is my favorite holiday. I love to see people happy and full and enjoying what I have prepared for them. Getting up at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning to start cooking the bird!!! :) Also staying up till midnight the night before preparing the casseroles for the oven the next day, baking the pies and cakes, etc. THis past Thanksgiving (2006), my Turkey - was absolutely PERFECTION!!! I got more compliments on that bird than any other I've ever made. Also, just recently made a perfect meringue - a feat not easily accomplished!! Too many to name...do I have to? Well one of my first was when I was a teen trying to fry chicken. I always had the fire too high, the outside was done, but the inside was still pink. Ugggg. Also, when a teen, used a pressure cooker to make some beans, tried to get the lid off - and beans exploded all over the kitchen. Needless to say, I've never used a pressure cooker ever again.
