My Mom and I on Mother's Day
Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies
About this Cook
I'm a mother to two beautiful boys. My husband of 16 years and I own and operate a sporting goods store. We work a lot so our home life is all about comfort. Baking with my sons gives me more time to help them find out who they are. Sharing my secrets my mother handed down to me, gives them roots. Eating dinner together brings us all into the same channel, so we don't loose track of each other. Cooking is really only important if you have someone to cook for, right?
My favorite things to cook
Chocolate Chip Cookies, all kinds of pie, lemon chicken, parmesan beef, anything on the Traeger grill, eggs and toast!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Dutch Babies on Christmas morning.

Never Fail Pie Crust I
This recipe was passed down from my grandmother to my mother, then to me. It does never fail. One thing you should know is that you can over mix the dough at the end. So just mix just until incorporated. This dough is also very good in pot pies. You can cut out large sized cookie rounds, bake them, and top off a stew or soup of your choice. I make these ahead of time and freeze them. It keeps the calories down and you don't have soggy dough in the bottom of the bowl.
