just moved to washington from san francisco, i have some time on my hands so i've ventured into cooking.
My favorite things to cook
i love making soups and trying new things. my boyfriend is vegan so i like making meals for him. lately i've been getting into baking.
My cooking triumphs
although its not terribly difficult, i made a vegan cheesecake and was so suprised at how delicious it was. better than the real thing!
My cooking tragedies
vegan mac and cheese.

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World
this was a really tasty and filling meal. i loved the variety of the beans, the use of veggie crumbles and the subtle cumin flavor. i halved the recipe, but still used the full cans of beans/corn. i also left out the spicy ingredients because my boyfriend's not a fan. overall we were satisfied and plan on making it again. thanks for the recipe!!

Vegan Red Lentil Soup
this soup was rich and i could only eat half a bowl. i'm not sure if it was to my liking. my boyfriend said it was good though. i didn't add the fenugreek seeds or cayenne pepper. maybe those are the ingredients that make the soup? i don't think i'd try it again. thanks for the recipe though.

Vegan Split Pea Soup I
If you’re in the mood for split pea soup, this will hit the spot. I thought it was good, but for the amount of time it took, I’m not sure if I’d make it again.
