Asiago Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
OMG!this was amazing...a huge dish if there is only 2 of you, but leftovers are still wonderful. MADE 3 changes, used HALf& Half instead of cream, use lots more cheese (pre-mixed asiago, romano, parm mix from walmart for $1.86/bag...) and sauted onions, garlic and such with butter but added 2 tbsp white cooking wine.(really good) This dish knocked our socks off!!! with an Italian husband,it reminded him of his true roots!!! thanks!!!! happy cooking

Grandma's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
PERFECT! I have never had corn chowder before or ever made soup...double score!! Substitutions...used chicken broth for the water, added chopped garlic to the onions, also added scallions..mmmm! One can cream corn 1 can regular corn...Added half-half last and mixed in a little cheddar for color. Thickened with 2 tbsp cornstarch/water......seems like it may be a whole new recipe but its not. Ooooh the husband ate 3 bowls full... kudos to grandma!

good standard recipe, USE CLEAR VANILLA EXTRACT so it doesn't discolor the icing... not so much milk too

Blue Cheese, Bacon and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
yum yum yum.... I normally do not eat blue cheese..but I thought we'd give it a try.....wwwwwoooooooowy..Yum. We use pre-butterflied thick porkchops, SO it took 50 mins to cook....next time I will buy the thinner chops and make a pocket as previous users had said. We thought we would use some cream cheese too to hold the mixture together.... A MUST TO HAVE IN THE ARSENAL OF RECIPES!!!!
