I am a wife and mother. I have been married almost three years and gave birth to my first child this year. My husband and my little boy are the reason that I want to be the best cook that I can be. I love to cook dinner and dessert. Trying new recipes is the best part of cooking at home. The cooking tradition I remember most revolves around Thanksgiving. It is tradition in my family that my gram, my mom and I get together to make the stuffing. When gram is done making it, we all sample it to make sure it is perfect. But, my grandfather gets the final say. Two years ago, I entered the baking part of our county fair for the first time. I made machine bread and corn muffins. I took a second on both of them. I am looking forward to competing in that part of fair again this coming year. My tragedy has to do with a brownie recipe I used to have. Everytime I made the brownies for someone I was dating, I would eventually break up with them. Needless to say, I retired the recipe a long time ago.
