I am retired after many years working in the utility business. Although I love to cook, I never had the time. I now enjoy my retirement browsing Allrecipes.com and finding enticing recipes to try on my family. I love to try new main meals as well as vegetable sides. I also like to try new ideas for casseroles and crock pot cooking. Since I come from an Irish background, I like to experiment with "irish" recipes. Our family was always a meat and potatoes bunch which really has no real traditions except the usual holiday meals of turkey and ham and cornbeef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day. I love making chili and each time I make it, I try adding something different. It is getting better with each new batch. I also love to try experimenting with different spices. I don't like to remember those so I really can't share them with you. However, the next time I have one I will be sure to post it here.
