Country Fried Steak and Milk Gravy
First of all, I am not a cube steak lover, however my husband is. Had some in the meat drawer and came to this site to look for some ideas. This was the recipe of the day so thought I would give it a try. Believe it or not, I had never had Country Fried anything but always wanted to try. I even used some onion and garlic powder with the flour but it just didnn't do anything for me. My husband complained through the meal that it didn't taste as good as plain fried cube steak.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
I was disappointed it this recipe and like another reviewer found them grainy and not having enough of a peanut butter taste. Not for me.

Chicken Florentine Casserole
This was so good and so easy. I used a bag of fresh spinach since I didn't even know there was such a thing as canned spinach (eww) and I was in a hurry and didn't want to defrost the frozen type. I used a can of cream of chicken and mushroom rather than plain mushroom. I may try the mushroom next time just to see the difference in taste. I did as another reviewer suggested and didn't cook the chicken first and saw no problem with that but I did increase the cooking time to 40 mins. For the cheese I used a big of shredded cheese that had a mix of about 5 different cheeses. Next time might cut chicken into bite sized pieces first and then I could reduce cooking time a little and will definitely make rice to serve it on. Lots of yummy sauce! Because of the time crunch I also just sprinkled 2-3 tbsp. of Bacos and it was fine. Another plus....my picky 18 yr old daughter thought it was really good....she rarely says that.
