About this Cook
I recently began taking an interest in cooking, but it's something I've found I really enjoy. Nothing more fun than taking a recipe and making it my own.
My favorite things to cook
Italian, Mexican, and Cajun dishes. But realistically baking is my favorite it relaxes me when I'm stressed. When I was a freshmen in college I started baking when I was stressed out and it worked so well to get me through that finals week, that I just keep doing it. I love trying new pie and cookie recipes.
My cooking triumphs
I created my own tomato basil soup recipe that is breath-taking. I haven't been cooking that long so I don't have many.
My cooking tragedies
Where do I begin? Thankfully with most of tragedies, I've found ways to change them now that I'm better at this cooking business.

Salsafied Chicken and Rice
Definitely needs green onions. Also, I seasoned the chicken with my homemade taco seasoning that is awesome. And I made the rice into a burrito with guacamole, sour cream, reduced fat cheese, and black beans. It was great!

Taco Seasoning I
I found this recipe because I was looking for an alternative (more natural, less salty) taco seasoning. I love this recipe as is and I use about 4-5 tablespoons per pound of meat (beef or chicken). I add about 1/3 c. of water to make it coat the meat better. I sometimes like a little more heat so I use spicy chili powder or add some cayenne. But mostly love it as is and will never buy taco seasoning in a packet again!
