LOVE this recipe. I use 1/4 applesauce 1/4 oil or butter (what ever I have) in place of the shortening...The kids love it and don't even know it's good for them (sometimes I will add a shredded carrot or Zuccini to add a veggie in there)

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

I have been using this for years and just got around to rating it, I make it for every BBQ and there is never leftovers. I also freeze it sometimes nad it still tast great

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

I am just getting around to rating this, I have been using it for months now. We always have beer on tap at our house so thats waht made me try this recipe, although, I prefer it better with milk or water, less of a tangy tast... I followed other reviews and add red pepper and other s pices to give more tast to the dough. I make french bread, pizza, strombolli, this is the BEST recipe if you have a bread maker

Smokin' Scovilles Turkey Chili

I am just getting around to rating this, but have been using it for years! We and everyone we make it for LOVE it, we live in Philly PA and when it gets cold all our friends ask me to make this. The only changes I make is after the pan I put it all in a crock pot for like 5 hours...it makes it all come together in a thick sauce

Ham Bone Soup

Thanks so much for this recipe! I hate to waste and after we have Hsm it seems there was so much meat left on the bone. I make this everytime I make a ham. It freezes great, and you can add rice or pasta to change it up a bit, my kids are picky and dont want to see something twice
