About this Cook
Just a young cook (well, more like baker) looking for more inventive and exciting meals.
My favorite things to cook
Salmon, cakes, cupcakes, and pastas. As I learn how to make more dishes I'm sure the list will grow.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, where we are each in charge of one dish. I always get the ambrosia, and I love making it!
My cooking triumphs
Garlic Chicken Rollups from a recipe I found here. My boyfriend LOVES them, and we've made them a couple times together!
My cooking tragedies
Attempting to make stuffed peppers from dad's off-the-top-of-his-head recipe over the phone...it was a miserable disaster!

Cornbread and Sausage Stuffing
I've made this two Thanksgivings in a row and one Christmas, and it's ALWAYS a hit! So much so that my sister asked for the recipe and made it for her friends Thanksgiving party. If you don't like traditional stuffing, or just love cornbread, this is definitely the way to go! I made it just as described.

World's Best Lasagna
Made this with my Fiance on Sunday to freeze for the rest of the week and it turned out pretty well. My only caveat (much like others) is that you need to make more of the ricotta mixture. We barely had enough to cover the layers (and certainly not as much as we would have liked).

Smokey Chipotle Meatloaf
We loved these, but would have used a bit more chipotle since we like things a bit spicier. We only used one for half the recipe, and couldn't taste the heat at all.
