Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2008
I usually like to make my beef stew in the slow cooker. I tried it this way, and it made a wonderful gravy and the veggies were good. I just don't like how tough the meat comes out cooking this way, since it is always so tender when done in a slow cooker. If I were to make this again, I would add more seasonings. Thank you for the recipe!

Spaghetti Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
Something is just not right about this recipe. I must agree with a previous reviewer, there is a very bitter taste to the noodle mixture. Not sure what it is, could be the Parmesan cheese. This recipe is also very, very dry. I won't make this recipe again, but will use it as an "idea" of how to make spaghetti pie in the future. I made it exactly as written, but it just was not very tasty. But I appreciate your post Kimberly and thank you for letting me try it!

Garlic Lover's Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
Extra! Extra! Extra garlic is needed here if you are a huge garlic fan like I am! Just throw some garlic salt or garlic powder into the breading, which ever you like, and don't be scared! You may find that you need a bit more cooking time, and turn the broiler on for last minute crispiness. Delicious combo of ingredients that I will make many times. Thank you so much!

Southwest-Style Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2008
This is a good recipe, with room for additions, which I will do when I make them again. But, I made them just as the recipe states, and enjoyed them, but know I will like them much better with a little more spice, maybe some chicken, and try different wraps. Thanks for the recipe!

Mexican Style Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2008
These were fantastic. Keep in mind that you must love chipotle peppers to really enjoy these meatballs, and there are some people that just don't like them. For those that are leaving out the chipotle in this recipe and replacing with something else, you may be getting a good meatball, but you are not getting the meatball this recipe is intending to offer, you are getting a different meatball, and seems unfair to rate it. The chipotle is a main ingredient in this recipe. Thanks for posting your delicious recipe!

Sesame Parmesan Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
I really liked this, but feel the cooking time is off. I cooked mine at 375 for 10 minutes and 5 minutes on broil. They were perfect and absolutely delicious! The cayenne lends a nice bite. For a special touch, sprinkle extra parmesan after pulling out of oven. Thank you for the recipe!

Egyptian Feta Cheese Omelet Roll

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
I was very pleased with this omelet. Delicious just as it is. In the future, I will use it as a base to make different kinds of omelets with additions such as bacon, onion, tomatoes, and especilly spinach. But loved it very much just as written. Simple and delicious! Thank you for sharing!

Dill Pickle Appetizers

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
These are tasty. I hate that the bread cracks as you try to roll them, but a little mashing fixes that. I like anything with a bit of grated onion in it, so I enjoyed these. Am curious to see how well they are recieved at my next party.

Candied Kielbasa

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
Absolute perfection! One of the most delicious recipes I have tried in a while. I cooked this on the stove and it had a nice thick consistancy. The measurements were just perfect. This will be a show-off party dish for sure! Thanks so much!

Horseradish Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
I absolutely adore horseradish, but I have learned now that I do not like it in deviled eggs. I could eat it on or in just about anything, but I guess not eggs. It's an ok idea if making for yourself if you like horseradish, but I don't think many guest would be impressed. Not a bad idea, just not for me. Thank you for posting your recipe.

Chicken Breast Stuffed with Spinach Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
With the addition of a few extra spices, this recipe would be an easy 5 star. I spiced my chicken up well before rolling. Also added garlic to the spinach mixture, and skipped the pan frying. One thing is for sure, spinach and blue cheese together delivers a wonderful taste. Who Knew? I had some of the spinach mixture left over and am going to have it for lunch. I have now found a new way to eat spinach. It is that good! Thanks!

Oven Fried Potatoes II

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
I just couldn't see where the lemon really added anything to these potatoes. But I really like lemon, so I think I will try this again and add the lemon after bringing them out of the oven, as a different way of doing things, and see how that turns out. Thanks for posting!

Taco Seasoning I

This is pretty good stuff. I actually liked it much better in the enchiladas than the tacos. It blends so well with enchilada sauce. It was delicious!

Curried Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
I had to leave the raisins out of this dish because I would not have liked it at all that way. Turns out, we didn't particulary care for this rice anyway. Even with added curry, the flavor is too mild. For any prominant flavor at all, you must add the almonds. This recipe seems to be a good starting point, but other seasonings need to be added to give it more taste appeal.

This marinade was just perfect! The best I have ever tasted. I wrapped the chicken in bacon before cooking, and added pineapple to the skewers. Outstanding, quality meal that I would be proud to show off to company.

I love this cookie recipe. They came out perfect, not overly sweet. This recipe does make more than it says, and the cookies can be shaped into logs or balls easily. Thank you for sharing your recipe! I could eat them all in on sitting!

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
The verdict is in! This was an easy dish to prepare. I had no problem with the dish being greasy as others have said. My husband absolutely loved it. It came out perfect. If I were to make it again, I would probably cut back a tad on the added salt, and maybe use half milk and half heavy cream to suit our taste a bit better. But it is wonderful as is! Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Cream Cheese Pickles

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
I spread the cream cheese on the meat before wrapping them. I layed a couple of these in front of hubby while he was talking on the phone, he stared at them with a strange look on his face! Then he took a couple of bites and fell in love! This is a neat little snack idea. Thanks!

Consuming this as I review.....Outstanding! This is perhaps one of the best Margaritas I have ever tasted. I will most likely never make a Margarita any other way. It's hassle-free to make, and very, very easy to have more than one...or two..or...three.....or.....
