About this Cook
I absolutely LOVE good food and when I started cooking in college, learning new recipes and probing new ideas for dishes only helped satiate my appetite for foods I have already eaten OR have yet to discover..I love eating at quality restaurants, exchanging great recipes, and have a secret weakness for chocolate. :*)
My favorite things to cook
My favorite thing to cook/make/eat is authentic Spanish food from Spain - tortilla espanola and paella! I'm always on the lookout for quality recipes from this country.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family traditions are Korean fried whitefish and Korean chicken drumsticks!
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph #1: the different types meat pastries that I've made! Got inspired by something I ate and I started creating... My cooking triumph #2: I will always remember the VERY first dish I ever made - Korean seaweed soup (mee-yuk-guk). It's pretty hard to get the flavor just right, but to see my dad's face light up at the taste of my first dish only made me pursue the art of cooking. :)
My cooking tragedies
I mistook garlic salt for garlic powder. My chicken was so awfully salty, I never made that mistake again! Good thing that I was cooking only for myself that evening. :)

Zucchini Brownies
Great brownie recipe!! I followed the recipe exactly, but I used Bread Flour instead! The consistency was very smooth and delicious.

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin
Great recipe! Made it three times already! I doubled the sauce and added two TB of sesame oil (instead of olive oil for the second batch). As per suggestion, I based the pork with some honey and it turned out absolutely tender and tasty!

Korean Cucumber Salad
I make a lot of Korean foods since I am Korean and this dish not only tastes authentic, but its very healthy! I used sesame oil instead of veggie oil and added a bit of sugar. The longer it marinates in the refrigerator, the better it tastes! Great recipe! :)
