Peasant Bean Soup
This is pretty yummy and certainly cheap. I added a leek I had on hand and a pinch of sugar and tomato paste I had on hand to thicken it up a bit. I also used canned beans. Very good; a ministrone-type taste.

Chocolate Chip Muffins
Thanks so much for this! I skipped the sugar topping and shortened the cooking time (my muffin pan is shallow), and viola: beautiful, comforting goodness. Cheers!

Meg's Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
I've never made cookies before but with this recipe, it was a cinch. And they were very good! I like mine a bit browner and crunchier, so I kept them in for about 30 minutes as opposed to 20. They were yummy!
