About this Cook
I'm young, hip and happily married. We have two dogs and a cat and just bought our very own home. I generally don't enjoy eating unhealthy greasy or fried foods. I do however have a serious sweet tooth. And I mean serious.
My favorite things to cook
Hearty chicken soup, toad in the hole, zucchini souffle, bread pudding, pork roast stew, african peanut soup, gilled sea bass, teriyaki wasabi peanut chicken dips.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I will buy a nice bottle of wine, some nice meat, cheese, crackers, dijon mustard and horseradish and have a little indoor picnic while we watch a movie.
My cooking triumphs
I can now make Thai and Indian curries that tastes like they came from a restaurant from scratch!
My cooking tragedies
An angel food cake in the wrong kind of pan once made for a messy stove.

Ricotta Fettuccine Alfredo with Broccoli
Not bad and between he ease of making it and the fact that it could easily be a one pan meal I can't give this recipe less than 3 stars. I followed the recipe to a T and flavor-wise it will require some tweaks for our preferences. That being said; I think it's a good base and I expected the ricotta to give it the texture it did. It looked positively rich in the pan!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken
As suggested, I stuffed it with crushed garlic and a lemon that I had quartered. First off, how inviting is it to come home at the end of a long day and smell a ready made delicious meal? It was so moist and delicious... but I have to say, next time I will put lemon, sliced onion and maybe a little garlic under the skin to really get that wonderful zingy flavor throughout the bird. There was soo much in the way of drippings, you'll have a giant pot of sauce or gravy... Far too much for one meal, even one as good as this. A true keeper!

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough
Very tasty; not too dry and makes a nice thin crust.
