Moroccan Chicken

This was AWESOME! My husband and I used heaping measures of all spices except the cayenne and added a little cinnamon. My mom and my husband aren't the most adventurous, but they LOVED this. DH told me to cut it out and put it in the "keeper" pile.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
I've always made pumpkin seeds on the stovetop, but decided to try it this way this year. It was awesome! I subbed cajun seasoning for seasoned salt because I just ran out of Lawry's :(, and it worked great!

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
The first thing my husband said after cleaning his plate was "You should go give that recipe 5 stars!" I'm paranoid about undercooked lasagna noodles (mom's were always tough), so I half-cooked my noodles. And we only had 1/2 the mozzarella she recommended, but we improvised with extra shredded parmesan. This one is a definite keeper, the best homemade (well, mostly)lasagna I've ever had. Thanks!

Trinidad Stewed Chicken

This recipe is AMAZING! I was a little apprehensive since my husband isn't big on coconut and I'm not big on sweet meat dishes, but after reading the reviews, we wanted to give it a shot. I am so glad I did! I used the whole can of coconut milk and 1/4 cup water, but that's the only change I made, and it was mind-blowing! I am so enthusiastic about this dish, I can't shut up about how good it was! Thanks for posting this recipe!!!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

AWESOME! I've made this quite a few times, and will continue to do so. I usually throw in a handful of rice or two for texture. I'll be passing this one on to future generations. Seriously.

Southwestern Corn and Walnut Dip

We had a heck of a time getting the cream cheese and lime juice to combine, but it ended up being well worth it. There's a little something missing, but I will continue to make this, as it was a big hit at my company get-together.

Wonderful soup! We were a bit iffy on the apple until we tasted it. AWESOME. The apple actually gives this soup great texture.

Lentil Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
This soup has GREAT texture! It tastes very fresh, not too tomato-ey. I like a lot of broth in my soup, so I added an extra cup of water and and extra 1/2 packet of vegetable soup mix I had in the cupboard. You may want to add a little salt, but that's it. Thanks for this recipe!

White Chicken Enchilada Slow-Cooker Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
My fiancee actually wanted to eat this 2 nights in a row! That NEVER happens! When we were making this, we left out half of the tortillas because it seemed like to much- DON'T! I wish I's put all of them in, and will do so next time. And the time after that, and the time after that... I'll be making this again.

Chicken and Lentils

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
We both loved this! I didn't have lemon juice on hand, but it turned out really well. It would be easier to eat with boneless/skinless meat. I agree with the other reviewers who suggested adding more broth- trouble is, how much? It seemed like I went through at least 4 cups of broth throughout the entire process... But I will make this again and again. Definitely.

Cottage Cheese Spinach Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
AWESOME! I have been using this recipe left and right since I found it a year or so ago. It's been the quick-and-easy yet impressive dish I pull out for company. I always end up with extra filling, so I usually add it to the pan halfway through cooktime so it gets nice and melty and a little brown. I use it as a finishing touch, and have also used the extra filling mixture over noodles. Thanks for this recipe, sorry I didn't say it sooner!

Honey Chicken

Overall, this recipe is pretty good, but we were a little lost as to what would go well with these flavors, and never found a good fit. I probably will not make this again unless I found just the right thing to go with it.

Potato Curry

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
AWESOME. That's it. This recipe is great the way it is, but like a lot of other reviewers have noted, easily customized. I hate peas, so I left them out and it was still wonderful. I have also served this with cubes of pork cooked in cayenne, garlic, butter, and a mild pre-made curry. Thanks for helping me convince my fiance' that good Indian food isn't always 5-alarm!

German Rouladen

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
I have been searching for a recipe that tasted like the Rouladen I remember eating on my trip to Germany a few summers ago. This is it! I always use less onion than average, that was my only change. And I used sandwich steaks from the grocery store- they come in the perfect size and shape! Thanks so much for this recipe!

Indian Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
This recipe is good stuff. But I want to warn those unfamiliar with curry- make sure you're using a decent curry powder, or your porkchops will be sub-par. I made this twice with different curry powders, and the difference was night and day. The "national brand" of curry powder you'll find in a regular grocery store made this taste like celery seed and did NOT compliment the other flavors. It's worth the extra legwork and money to find a good, authentic curry. When I used "real" curry powder, this recipe was stellar! Had trouble finding a dish to go with it, though, would like to hear others' meal ideas.

Quick Cheeseburger Pie

AWESOME! Tastes just like a recipe I got in a kids' cookbook when I was little. Have been searching for a close recipe for years-THANK YOU! My only recommendation would be to stick with the amount of onion you're generally comfortable with, or it can be a little overpowering.
