Best Buttercream Frosting
I got this recipes from my Grandmother who used it for years before I was born. Our amounts are 1/2 of what is listed but are the exact ingredients. To make the flour/milk mixture cook until it is really thick (follows the spoon around the pan). For the butter/sugar mixture, we use regular white sugar. My recipe states to beat it for 4 minutes, then add the cooled flour/milk mixture and beat for 4 more minutes then add the vanilla. Great frosting. Compliments the cake without overpowering it!!!
