About this Cook
Just got engaged! Have a few cooking staples, getting better at experimenting on my own. Summer means grilling, and we have some great marinades. My fiance is the grill master! Everything is juicy and delish.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, it's good with so many things. And anything with cheese, cuz you just can't go wrong with cheese!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving - everyone has a job. I get to smash the potatoes :)
My cooking triumphs
Whole chicken roast and making a lasagna that had my boyfriend's Italian grandmother raving
My cooking tragedies
Slow cooker pork chops - came out dry and awful.

Simple But Awesome Lemon Pepper Pork Chops
Would have given it 5 stars but mine was a little dry. I used boneless chops. Next time I will brown on both sides first in olive oil and garlic. I used 1 tablespoon total of butter (with 2 chops) and 2T of Worcestershire sauce on top of each. My husband loved it (his was thicker, i think it stayed jucier). Will definitely make this again. Very easy

Pork Chops with Delicious Gravy
Well, this was ok. The chops themselves were juicy, but the flavor wasn't very strong - it's probably because the "gravy" basically solidified in the pan. Once I noticed, I added a touch more milk and mixed it in. I ate the gravy (kept it on the side) and the flavor was wonderful! I couldn't believe it. I'm not sure what I did wrong. If I try this again I will probably double the sauce. If you try it,at least taste it and see what you think.

Baked Pork Chops I
tasted great - the sauce was great on rice pilaf. Didn't cook for the whole time: baked for 20 mins, added sauce, baked for 20 more. didn't have milk, but it didn't matter
