About this Cook
I'm a young, up and coming baker. Cakes and cake decorating have become my specialties. In the last couple years I have started baking more and more and have even started my own little cake business. I have done just about everything but weddingsa... not ready to attempt that one yet!
My favorite things to cook
Cakes, cookies, anything chocolate!
My cooking triumphs
A beautiful 3 layer anniversary cake for a couple's 25th.
My cooking tragedies
A not so pretty cake that was a nightmare to get out of the pan... and tasted awful.

Chicken and Rice Dinner
Made this recipe a while ago, and about to make it again. Delicioso! This time, we'll cut back on the pepper a little bit, although I really didn't mind it last time. I think I'll add some lemon juice to give it a twist... just an idea. AWESOME!

Herby Roasted Potato Wedges
These were very good with some alterations. I coated the potatoes with some olive oil then coated with rosemary, and other italian herbs, salt, and parmesean cheese. A good rule of thumb: Whatever you think is a good amount of spice/salt--double it! It is the coating that makes these so delicious. Also put so additional oil of butter in the bottom of the pan so they can fry slightly while baking.

Whipped Cream Filling
I have made this several times. I usually and cocoa powder and increase the sugar to at least 1/2 cup or more depending on the amount of cocoa I use. This is wonderful as a filling or frosting and there is very little that soaks into the cake. It doesn't turn watery like other whipped creams. Excellent!
