ANZAC Biscuits with Almonds
In all my years of cooking ANZAC's I never thought of including almonds in the recipe but they really do work well. The only changes I made where to add a little more liquid to the batter, use hand chopped almonds and to reduce the cooking time to 12-15 mins. They tasted nice and very anzac'y although next time I would include some dessicated coconut as to me they did not taste quite complete without it. Thankyou Allison, this recipe is definately worth trying.

Aussie Works Burger
This is definately an Aussie burger. I have not made this recipe but I have made them almost exactly the same so really there would be no point, except for eating them of course. ( : The only change I would suggest is to add a bit of flavour to the patty, it should be the star of the show after all. Usually I mix it with some spices and breadcrumbs. There are thousands of recipes out there for patties just find one that suits you. Try this burger and enjoy, it's a real treat.

Pisang Goreng (Indonesian Banana Fritters)
These are one of my favourite desserts and I have been looking for a recipe like this. Because bananas are fairly expensive where I am right now I made a half batch, then having enjoyed them so much, made another one. I pan fried them instead of deep frying and didn't add any rum cause I don't have any. To substitute I spiced them with nutmeg and cinnamon instead which is beautiful as a dessert, especially with vanilla ice-cream or maple syrup. For the second batch I added a little coarse ground pepper to the mix, which I know sounds strange but it tastes great and adds the perfect counterpoint to the sweetness of the dish. Try it!
