About this Cook
I'm a 29 year old single girl in Sacramento, CA. I started cooking when I was little, helping mom & dad. I cook for a doctor and his wife and its really allowed me to grow as a cook. I think about food 24/7, there's always a recipe being worked out in my head. I made a cookbook for the girls in my family for Christmas and since then my list of original recipes has grown tremendously. My dream is to someday publish a cookbook and open a little corner bistro and/or specialty food shop.
My favorite things to cook
Definitely Middle Eastern and Italian (Pastas, lamb dishes), anything with cheese, anything creamy.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have great Thanksgiving meals. My dad and I do the turkey and mom does side dishes and desserts. Also our Lebanese dinners are to die for. We all have our specialties and cooking together is one of our favorite things.
My cooking triumphs
I make perfect Hummus. Even people who don't like Hummus like mine. Lebanese food is my Garden of Eden, its where the passion started.
My cooking tragedies
I'm not great at baking! Something about having to measure EVERYTHING throws me off :)

Crusty French Bread
This is amazing! I did modify a bit. I disolved 1 tsp of sugar in the water then added the yeast. I didn't add anymore sugar. I used Olive Oil instead of veg oil and I used 2tsp salt. Instead of egg white, I brushed the top with melted butter & sprinkled it with salt. I put a baking dish of boiling water in the oven with the bread and baked it for 40 minutes. It was PERFECT.

Honey Mustard Dressing II
I used Sierra Nevada Honey Spice mustard for this and it was sooo good. Also I just did 1/2 TBSP of honey and I added 1/2 TBSP of Olive Oil. Excellent!

Chicken Enchilada Casserole II
This recipe is INCREDIBLE. I used a really good organic chipotle salsa and a mixture of beans. Absolutely amazing, thank you to the author of this recipe!!
