About this Cook
I am just enjoying life with my husband. I love to cook, read, watch movies and be with family and friends. I just finished nursing school and hope to be working soon.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods. My favorite recipes here are boilermaker chili, world's best lasagna, and world's best linguini with clam sauce.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Loved watching my mom cook growing up, still do. She is such an amazing cook and can make a delicious meal with anything. It seems that holidays were always hosted by my mom because she is just so great at cooking, entertaining and making it look so easy! She never stressed and could pull anything off, even when our dog pulled the Thanksgiving turkey off the table and ate it...
My cooking triumphs
Chicken tequilla fetuccine. Not because it is difficult, but because it turned out so delicious and we now make it on every vacation at the beach :)
My cooking tragedies
The very first time I tried to cook for my husband. We were dating and I made a broccoli casserole, it was disgusting!

G's Flank Steak Marinade
I marinated the flank steak overnight and it was delicious and tender. Just don't make the mistake I did and salt the meat before grilling, it has plenty of salt already so just use pepper. I will always use this when I make flank steak, great recipe.

The Best Clam Sauce
Delicious!! I tossed the liguini and sauce together in the large skillet under low heat before serving so the sauce soaked into the pasta. I topped it with fresh parsley and lemon juice, will definately make again soon!
