About this Cook
I have been married for 60+ years and raised 6 children. I could not cook when I was first married. My father-in-law taught me how to make gravy and to this day everyone who tastes my gravy, says it is the best ever. I made the gravy for a RV club at Christmas when I went as a guest. Served almost 100 and everyone raved!!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake pies. Enjoy any kind of baking and like to make big old family type meals with mashed potatoes, gravy, fruit salad and PIE!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just getting family together on Holidays.
My cooking triumphs
Just turning out to have so many compliments since I was only 17 when I married and could not cook at all. I really like my own cooking and wish some times I didn't. (ha ha)
My cooking tragedies
Tried to make a pie from berry juiced that I had squeezed my self. Used tapioca instead of corn starch and it did not set up. I should have know corn starch, boiled, would have thickened so much better. Guess that happens when you get old!

Seattle Cream Cheese Dogs
My daughter told me about this recipe and said her husband really liked it. I tried it yesterday and would not waste my time on it again. I think just a plain hot dog with mustart, reslish & raw onlions was better.
