About this Cook
I live in Wichita Falls, Texas. I am happily married. I use my husband on recipes I invent, he pretty good about it. My Mother is half Dutch and my Dad is a Yankee. I pretty much like anything. I like to try recipes from my heritage.
My favorite things to cook
Dutch food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
December 5th we started a tradition in my family. It is a holiday over in Holland known as Santa Claus Day. We started making all dutch recipes to snack on all day while we celebrate. Every year I try to find a new recipe.
My cooking triumphs
Christmas dinner for 30 people.
My cooking tragedies
I have a hard time making pie pastry.

Chicken Stuffed Bundles
I have to start by saying that I didn't have time to make this recipe the way it calls for. I didn't make the dough. Instead, I mixed all the other ingriedients together and added them to prepared macaroni noodles. This was very delicious. The flavor of the chicken and cream of chicken soup kicked it up. I also added a drained can of carrots just for some color but it added flavor too.

Sour Cream Pork Chops
I loved this recipe. Not really a pork fan so was looking for something different. Instead of following the recipe I did my own touches too. Instead of just plain broth I also added a can of Cream of Mushroom soup. After taking the chops out of the pan I put the onions in to saute them with the soup. I added salt and pepper and the bouillon and water. I poured it over the chops put it on high for 5 hours. Served it over egg noodles. Husband loved it.
