I did not follow the recipe directly, I cut down the sugar and added some cornstarch as others had suggested. I also made it with real chicken and fake soy chicken (i'm vegetarian, my husband is not). We both agreed it wasn't bad (not too sweet) but that it was missing some sort of flavor. I will try making it again, but I will mess around with the flavoring, almost needs some spice to it.

My mom has been making a recipe similar to this for years at X-mas time. Only real difference is she adds ground pecans to the recipe when you add the rice krispies. The only thing I hate about making these is when you need to form the balls it's easy to burn your fingers--I would recommend using a cookie scoop if you have one!

good recipe. i've experimented a lot with the vegetables inside and used refried and black beans also, and it always turns out good
