My favorite things to cook

Thanks to this site, I have tried so many different dishes and my recipe collection is so diverse that I really don't have a favorite dish. It's all pretty good!

My cooking triumphs

Anytime I make something and my family enjoys it, then I'm happy! On a larger scale, I have prepared very successful Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for around 20 people - all by myself!

My cooking tragedies

Anytime something doesn't come out just right, I think it's a tragedy. I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to cooking. ;)

Paprika Potatoes

Bland, bland, bland. The paprika is pretty but does nothing for the flavor. You might as well just eat a plain baked potato.

Feta Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Breasts

We found this to be a little bland for our tastes. The bacon and feta combo was good but hubby and I agreed the chicken itself really needed something. If I make this again, I will either layer the bacon and feta over the top or include some type of sauce.

Black Magic Cake

Very good cake with nice dark presentation for Halloween. I forgot to add the vanilla extract but we don't miss it. I decorated this cake with black icing dripping off the top, a sparkly gel spider web, and a big black gum paste spider. Hubby and I both agreed that we prefer this cake chilled.
