My cooking tragedies
I made an apple pie for a church picnic. I made a homemade crust rather than frozen. The crust was translucent! My garbage disposal didn't seem to mind, though.

Sausage Casserole
So even with the mistakes I made (forgot the cottage cheese, forgot to add the onion), this is fantastic! I didn't peel the potatoes either. I just grabbed my box grater and had fun. It took about 3 potatoes and was about 4 cups. I added more eggs because I didn't buy jumbo. Can't wait to make it the right way for New Year's brunch!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic
I reduced the sugar to a little over 1/4 c and this was sweet enough. My husband actually said it was too sweet. The kids and I loved it! Made the sweet potatoes the day before, reheated in the microwave just enough to mash, tossed together and into the oven. Definitely a keeper!!

Roasted Pork Loin
I tripled the garlic, used 1.5 T of rosemary because I had a 4 3/4lb roast. I didn't have white wine and debated going back to the store to get it but didn't. I threw this together, rubbed the top with remaining paste mixture then tossed it in the frig to hang out for about 4 hours. I covered mine with foil and let it cook on 325 (hubby set the temp wrong - ACK!!) for about 2.75 hours. It was perfect. My son even commented "Mom, why is this so good???"
