I am married with a one year old daughter. I am working on my culinary skills, and trying my hardest to make sure I have a well rounded meal for dinner each night (which is harder than my mom ever made it seem when I was a kid!).
My favorite things to cook
PASTA! I am also really starting to enjoy the different breads and desserts that are out there.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We make lefse every christmas eve with white fish, potatoes, butter, and fish gravy to fill it/dip it in. It's a norwegian family tradition.

Norwegian Lefse
Fabulous! I couldn't find my grandmother's recipe (the one we have used every year since I was a kid), so I used this one... it was perfect! Everyone loved it.

Microwave Lemon Curd
This is so delicious! I was looking for a good lemon curd recipe for my daughter's first birthday cake. This is definitely the best I've tasted! It's so easy, and tastes as if you have just slaved over the stove for hours. Fantastic.

Monkey Bread I
This monkey bread is absolutely divine! I took a few of the other reviewer's suggestions, but I wish I jsut stuck to the original recipe. this recipe certainly does NOT need more topping- it would be perfect as written. Next time I'm following it exactly! I cooked mine with unsalted butter since I used buttermilk biscuits, which tend to be salty already. I arranged mine in a glass 8" x 11" pan and it cooked beautifully. Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe. (I am sitting at the computer now with a plate full of bites!)
