I have been cooking since the age of 6. My first meal was a scrambled egg with probably a half stick of butter. My uncle is probably the single most person responsible for my love of cooking by the encouragement (and lies he told) he gave me about how delicious my cooking was. Thanks Uncle John!! I love baking everything from cookies to pies to gourmet cakes. I also decorate cookies and cakes. I try not to eat out so much so I do a lot of slow cooker meals. I also enjoy cooking southern meals with everything smothered. Large Thanksgiving family meals. The children always remain in the kitchen as the mom cooks and eventually involves the children in the process. Herb roasted Prime Rib. Potato salad. Still working on it.
