About this Cook
I am married since 1996, and I have one son.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new things, but I love the challenge of cooking "with what I have in the cabinet". For that reason I love the "ingredient search" feature of Allrecipes.com.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am part Slovak, so I love to make pierogies with my mother and sister. They are very time consuming, but well worth the effort!
My cooking triumphs
Pierogies, tabbouli, and great muffins!
My cooking tragedies
Not a great griller!

Chicken Pot Pie IX
This is quite simple, and tasty. I bought two frozen pie crusts as a shortcut, made some sodium free boullion to reduce the salt, used frozen carrots and peas, and added some frozen hash brown potatoes. It was great. We ate the leftovers the next two days... and enjoyed them!

Robin's Nests
These cookies are precious! The dough has a very mild flavor, and the eggs make them a showstopper. Next time I might experiment and add butter flavor instead (to the dough).

Garlic Chicken
This chicken cooked up juicy, but I felt it could use more flavor. I will definately try it again, and add more garlic and/or parmesan.
