I followed the recipe exactly with one exception, I used apple sauce instead of oil. They turned out great, and the kids gobbled them up.

We have been trying to find a good, homemade pizza crust, and have finally found it. Even the picky kids loved it.

Followed the recipe exactly but it didn't turn out the way I was expecting. Guess I will continue the search for a good brownie recipe.

Fluffy Carrot Muffins with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
My children and I really enjoyed these muffins, even though I made them without the frosting. I made them for a special treat, and they went over great. Such an easy recipe to follow, and a great way to use up the huge bag of baby carrots.

Anything that my kids will eat gets 5 stars. They loved these. Especially with pancake syrup on them. Will make them with grated cheese next time. Definitely a keeper recipe.

Awesome cookies. I made a half batch, which made twenty cookies, and used raspberry jam. They turned out amazing. My husband and kids loved them, which is amazing being how there was no chocolate in them. I made two changes: I used margarine instead of butter and I added a half teaspoon of vanilla. Definitely a cookie recipe to keep taped to the inside of the baking cupboard.

Cake Doughnuts

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
My kids loved these. I tried cooking them two different ways. First I dropped small teaspoon sized amounts of batter into the deep fryer. They didn't look that great but my son said "They taste better than they look!" Then I tried them rolled out and they turned out great. The key to these turning out is putting lots of flour on the counter and lots ontop of the dough when rolling it out.

Cinnamon Cranraisin Bread

This bread turned out great. I made one small adjustment because we like things a bit sweeter so I added 1/4 cup brown sugar to the original recipe. The house smelled amazing while this was cooking. My husband loved it and asked me to make more right away. Definitely going to be a family favorite.

Jam Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
This was a great, easy recipe for breakfast. My kids loved them, and I loved how easy they were to make. I blended the strawberry jam in with the wet ingredients. Next time I am also going to add chopped strawberries. Not a sweet muffin but it is a recipe that can be altered quite easily.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
This was an excellent recipe. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is that the recipe said you could keep the batter in the fridge for up to a week. I made the batter one day and got amazing waffles, the kids gobbled them up. The next day I pulled the batter out of the fridge, whisked it up, and put it in the waffle iron. It was so runny it ran out of the iron and onto the counter. Not a good recipe to keep in the fridge!!!

Made-in-Minutes No-Cook Fudge

i thought this was a waste of ingredients. it didn't turn out at all, and was too oily. i ended up mixing some other things into it and baking it, in the hope of turning it into something edible.

These cookies are awesome. I halved the recipe, and it worked really well. The only change I made was I added a half cup of chopped cranberries. Delicious!!

Lemon Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 15, 2007
My kids really liked these muffins. For the cranberries, instead of halving them I put them in the blender and pulsed them so they were smaller pieces. And I used vegetable shortening instead of oil, so it wasn't liquidy batter. All in all, turned out well and is now a family favorite.

Was very good. I followed the recipe with one exception. Instead of using cheddar cheese I used Dill and Herb Havarti. It was nice, but cheddar would have been much better. All in all, an easy and delicious recipe.
