About this Cook
As a kid I always loved to dink around in the kitchen, but without cooks in the house I was left to my own devices. I'd still consider myself a bit of a novice cook, baking tends to be more natural. I'm young, looking to get those staple recipes hammered down before life gets too busy to find the time to create new meals! I also only eat fish, so finding great, healthy, no-meat recipes that don't have a thousand ingredients is my goal.
My favorite things to cook
Banana bread is an all-time favorite. My grandma's roll recipe for the holidays, and anything with rice, beans, or chilies!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Does it come out of a box? That's my background, trying to shake that up a bit!
My cooking triumphs
Successfully mastering pie crust. That can be quite the challenge in a non-pie eating family!
My cooking tragedies
There have been many, usually involving trying to speed up the process which can't be sped up.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili
Obviously I'm not alone, this was just FANTASTIC. I used ground turkey even and it was still delicious. I added some crushed red pepper for extra spice, but tit was perfect as is.

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken
simple, delicious, and just a hint of spice. We added some whole garlic cloves throughout to add some flavor. Perfect Sunday night meal!

Penne with Chicken and Asparagus
So quick, so easy, so tasty! I also added some mushrooms like other users, and it turned out wonderful. For something so simple, the taste was spot on. I also used real garlic instead of the powder. Definitely will make again.
