Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

These are wonderful! I add about a 1/4 tsp of nutmeg as well, because my husband really loves nutmeg. Have made these with butterscotch chips and also with dried cranberries. They are delicious without additions too!

This is the recipe I always use for barbecues. The only minor alteration I make is adding a dash of liquid smoke. These are always a hit.

Veggie Pizza

I made a double batch of this for Thanksgiving for a family post-dinner snack while we played games. I was hoping to have leftovers, but there wasn't a square left! Thanks to the earlier reviewer who had the idea to cut the baked crust before adding the cream cheese and toppings--this made it virtually mess-free!

Butter Snow Flakes

These make delicious, sturdy spritz cookies. I used orange extract instead of zest because I didn't have oranges on hand. Cookies turned out beautifully.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

This was absolutely delicious. I made a gravy with the broth, and it was the richest pork gravy I've ever tasted. Will definitely make again--good enough for any dinner party!

Lentil Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
OK, I took great liberties with this recipe because I didn't feel like going to the store, and it turned out to be ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Instead of the beef broth and onions, I used a can of French onion soup and a can of water, and instead of the tomato sauce, I added a can of "Soup At Hand" (microwavable ready-to-eat) classic tomato soup. I also added a teaspoon of fennel seeds to the standard Italian seasonings and some red pepper flakes for a little spiciness. I also chopped up about 1/2 a cup each of celery and carrots and added it into the mix. The result was amazing--a rich, thick lentil soup with more flavor than most restaurant soups!

Easy Peach Cobbler

This recipe was delicious, but I'm not sure under what circumstances it could be done in 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven! I baked mine for about an hour at 350 and then had to boost it up to 400 for the next 20 minutes, and it still never browned. And, yes, my oven was working, I had just made a lasagna not an hour before.
