About this Cook
I'm 23 and have been cooking somewhere between two and three years (always had take out back home lol) I love cooking. I like the dishes that take ages to make as it fills my day and the rewards of eating it and watching my boyfriend and his kids eat it makes it worth while
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook curry, its the family favorite, but I also like making pasta's (esp lasagne) I'm starting to like to make desserts, though I still need some practice in that dept. Appetizers go down well!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have cooking traditions other than Turkey on Christmas and Lamb on easter. I do like the lamb better than the turkey, maybe its because I was from canada and we had turkey at easter and thanksgiving and christmas lol and they don't celebrate thanksgiving here in the UK
My cooking triumphs
We've had a few parties now, birthday parties and everyone wanted my recipes! (said no ha! lol) We've even had a couple dinner parties and they were great, my food was awesome! Now I've been asked to make the teas for a cricket club and most of it is homemade so that's a pretty big accomplishment.
My cooking tragedies
I've made a few really bad recipes, The worst now was I made a strawberry short-cake from the site and everyone ((except one) took one mouthfull and fed it to the dog!

Flatlander Chili
I made this for end of season tea for a cricket team along with trays of wraps and sandwiches and cakes...the cvhili was the first thing to go, I had to triple the recipe and the only thing I changed was that I omitted the onion as my b/f doesn't like it, and I couldn't put any garlic as I ran out on the first sprinkle, and I added mushrooms. It was an absolute hit. Thank you for sharing!
