I'm 48, recently re-married on July 30, 2006. I'm physically disabled, but was once very active, Marine Corps, prison guard, skydiver, hiker and always taking my boys on little trips. We collected cookbooks wherever we went. live in Japan for 6 years.

My favorite family cooking traditions
On Christmas Eve we always bake a birthday cake for Jesus and Christmas day we make donuts. All four of my boys (9,15,17 and 19)love to cook and invent recipes.
My cooking triumphs
I made a Baked Alaska when I was 10 after reading about it in a ladies magazine.
