My whole family came over on Halloween night & made these after trick or treating. They loved it, even the grandkids. We had to double the recipe. We didn't change anything & they came out great. We did put them in the frig. for awhile to get hard, but that's all. Thanks for a great recipe.

I just want to say this is a great recipe. The only thing I did was to put some cheddar cheese in them. The whole family loved them. I had to double the amount too. No left over at my house.

I loved this recipe. It was easy to do without having to stay with, like others.It was the first time I have ever tried making apple butter. The only bad thing was, I didn't have enough to go around. It only made four 1/2 pints. The next time, I will have to double the recipe. You can also put the jars in a canning pot & let them boil for 25 min., take them out,let the the seals set & put the jars in a cool place. This way you don't have to put them all in the frig.
