We are a busy family! We own a small business- New Dimension Wood Design- www.newdimensionwooddesign.com I often work from a home office. I can swing preparing home-cooked meals most often.
My favorite things to cook
Everything! Different is fabulous, though, have enough different dishes I can cook up off the top of my head, quite quickly that are enjoyed
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up mom made the best Jewish food. I try to get it close and often experiment with different versions of Chicken Soup w/ Matzo Balls, Vegetable Soup, Brisket, Potato Kugel, Noodle Kugel, Mandlebread.
My cooking triumphs
My first attempt at Canning in 2007 was not a complete loss. I made what were the best baby gerkin pickles we have ever tasted! Everyone thought they were wonderful! They were so good I quickly got another batch going
My cooking tragedies
(2007)Only half of the Canned Peaches turned out well. I was told I will get better with each experience -I look forward to this. I was not so happy at first, though to have a few qt jars of peaches on the first attempt was better than not having any.
I have not been able to Can 2008 - thus far 2010 due to family situations. Very much looking forward to the 2011 Canning season
