Peanut Butter Pie! A recipe I got years ago from a colleague, it's now been featured in 2 different cookbooks, and has been a staple at every family gathering since. I once tried to make a smoked salmon pie, that was a disaster, the cream wouldn't clot properly, and it was just a tasteless, runny mess.
