I don't usually do this but this chili is really good. I needed a recipe that was different form the usual after THANKSGIVING FARE and this hit the mark. everybody was asking me for the recipe, and when I gave it to them , they couldn't believe how easy it was to prepare because it taste as if you spent the whole day cooking.

I'm not a Southerner but I love me some greens. This is a great recipe for collards. none of the recipes I've seen on this site stress the neeed to wash the greens throughly. It takes a while and is the worst part of making them but very necessary.I also add somecoarsely chopped onion and red pepper flakes. Serve with hot sauce and cornbread, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm gooood!

This is a great recipe to do with kids. I took it a potluck and everyone raved about it, fresh fruit is best but you can use canned just remember to drain it well.
