I have been cooking since I was a young girl. I now have two grown children and am still cooking for just the two of us. I like to cook just about anything. I always take a good recipe and then "doctor" it with things I have on hand. My father was a chef in the Army and his mother was also an excellent cook. A friend and I once donated a luncheon for charity and it was the most magnificant meal I have ever particpated in. There are lots of them I'm sure. One that comes to mind is the "blue" meatloaf I made in high school. The flavor was there but people couldn't get past the color (food coloring).
