About this Cook
I started cooking when I was very young out of necessity. Today my grown daughter thinks I have the answers to all that is food. She lives in Texas and calls me frequently with cooking questions. I love that we have bonded on this level.
My favorite things to cook
Mexican food, chicken dishes and homemade sauces.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making everything from scratch. One thing my mother was good at was cooking. and I love to see people enjoying my food.
My cooking triumphs
I was ecstatic to be able to feed my German born husband Schnitzel. Also homemade chicken pot pie. I even started trying homemade breads. Nothing smells as good as bread baking.
My cooking tragedies
Crock pot Beef Stroganoff. I don't really care for this But my husband is German and really loves this.

Zucchini Cornbread Casserole
This is my favorite way to use Zucchini! I love any type of squash but my family usually won't even try it. This is the exception! I made this exactly as written except I squeezed the water out of zucchini as others suggested. I also cut back on the amount on onions and slightly sauteed them before adding to the rest of mixture. Turned out beautifully! I will make this again and again! Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely Best Brownies
Absolutely fool proof recipe! And easy! My family loved them and I was lucky to get even a bite! Needless to say I will be making these again and again but I will have to double the recipe from now on! Thanks for sharing!

Pizza Dough I
Love this recipe! So easy! I confess, I used quick acting yeast and it worked beautifully! Added garlic powder to dough. Smelled amazing! Thanks for sharing! I already added this to my special box of recipes!
