About this Cook
I love to cook! Cooking is what I do when I am happy, when I am sad, when I am frustrated... it is my outlet for so many things. It is so exciting to see how my cooking skills are ever improving.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts... of course! I also love to cook vegetarian cuisine and bread-machine breads!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Oh gosh, where to start? My mom has made some of the best casseroles I have ever tasted. We always had casseroles. Some traditions that I have started are fresh bread whenever possible, homemade bagels, and homemade hummus.
My cooking triumphs
Cream puffs and homemade cinnamon rolls - both from this site!
My cooking tragedies
So many! Usually its because I dont read the recipe all the way through. Always read the recipe first!

Absolutely Ultimate Marinade
Really good marinade. Used it on boneless, skinless chicken breast and marinated for about 8 hours then grilled. Didn't have green onions on hand so I used a few shakes on onion powder in place on the onions. Also, used apple cider vinegar in place of red wine vinegar because that is what I had on hand. My family said it was delicious and something that made chicken taste different than "just chicken".

Classic Waffles
Delicious!! Perfectly sweet and fluffy! The melted butter is what makes this recipe so wonderful.

Blonde Brownies I
DELICIOUS! Just made for a rainy day activity. These are wonderful! I made these as per the recipe, except did not use nuts and instead STIRRED in 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips and 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips. They are so ooey inside with a perfect golden crispy top. These sliced beautifully. I will make these again and again.
